Raise Awareness and

Fight for Liberty in Iran

Join us in our pursuit of justice and freedom as we empower voices and inspire action for a brighter, more equitable future.

Change is not only necessary; change is inevitable!

We actively contribute to and promote the discourse of change in Iran. By raising awareness, presenting an alternative value system and governance structure, and fostering innovative platforms within civil society (as opposed to traditional state-run bodies), we aim to create a clear vision for our future and to empower effective civil resistance, particularly among the Iranian elite. We are resolute in our commitment to the emergence of a government in Iran that respects and upholds fundamental rights.

What we stand for

Our Values and Vision

Our Vision

We advocate for constitutionalism, where the rule of the majority prevails only when it respects the sanctity of fundamental rights and liberties. Ultimate authority shall rest with individual person. Individuals shall delegate a minimal portion of their authority to elected representatives, who are charged with governing in line with the constitution and fundamental rights, prioritizing the will of the majority only thereafter.

Civil Responsibility

The reform movement in Iran has reached an impasse. In response, we stand resolute within the framework of civil resistance, where people consciously commit to upholding the liberating values of trust, openness, responsibility, and solidarity. We urge everyone, especially those in positions of influence, to boldly confront corruption, discrimination, and violations of fundamental rights. Each act of defiance, every challenge to injustice—no matter how small—adds to the mounting pressure on the Islamic Republic, bringing it closer to its inevitable surrender to the forces of democracy and liberty.

Justice

We advocate for justice for all parties implicated in past injustices and illegalities; within a larger framework of reconciliation. However, we draw a firm line against reckless approaches, vigilante justice, warmongering and mobilizing undemocratic pressure groups in our non-violent doctrine of transition to a new democratic regime. While we may endorse restricted, predefined and responsible use of force for self-defense or civil resistance against autocratic regimes, our aim is never to inflict harm on the lives of our opponents and adversaries. Furthermore, we unequivocally oppose the use of the death penalty.

New Deal

We advocate for a new order where civil society takes the lead in managing academic, cultural, social, and economic activities, shouldering the majority of collective responsibilities. The state, while powerful in its capacity, should be limited in scope to essential functions like safeguarding fundamental rights, ensuring transparency and accountability, combating fraud, and providing security and social safety nets. We envision a strict separation between the state and national wealth, with all assets managed by an independent national fund dedicated solely to maximizing direct and equal value for its shareholders—every Iranian citizen—free from political influence.

Oppression

We recognize the centuries-long oppression and injustice inflicted on women, activists, intellectuals, and religious, ethnic, political, gender, and lifestyle minorities. No single group holds a monopoly on being oppressed. While we support time-limited affirmative action policies to heal some of their wounds, we firmly believe that upholding and institutionalizing fundamental rights is the only path to liberate women, minorities, and society as a whole from oppression. We reject the creation of new state apparatus, whether regional or central, to combat old oppressive policies. What we need is the freedom to build a robust civil society, not more state control under the guise of protecting against oppression.

Opposition Unity

We believe that the unity of opposition groups has advantages but is not essential for forcing a transition from the Islamic Republic. Instead, we believe that committing to a discourse that avoids character attacks, respects democratic processes and fosters cooperation on smaller projects will achieve the desired change. In this regard, drawing redlines that suppress fundamental rights is unacceptable.

Territorial Integrity

We hold that Iran’s territorial integrity and the protection of the fundamental rights of all Iranians are equally non-negotiable. There is neither a legal nor a credible historical basis for the independence of any part of Iran—just as there is no justification for violating human rights anywhere within it. At the same time, freedom of expression should face boundaries only in the rarest of cases. Discussion of regional autonomy or even independence, however misguided or unfounded, falls within the scope of protected speech and must not be criminalized.

Foreign Policy

We advocate for a pragmatic foreign policy that assumes no inherent enmity with any country. We seek to maintain good relations with the East while resuming positive ties with the West. Our history has taught us that we should not form alliances with one power at the expense of becoming unfriendly toward another. We celebrate the well-being of our neighbors and are committed to support their development.

Middle East Conflict

Many Iranians care about the victims of the Israel-Palestinian conflict. Regardless of which side one may criticize more, we believe the Islamic Republic’s pronounced and manufactured enmity toward Israel has been exploited to sustain an ideological dictatorship, and has been catastrophic for our national interests. This stance has resulted in profound, multi-generational losses for Iran. A legitimate government would fundamentally change this worldview, reallocating resources toward restoring peace and security and addressing the setbacks of the past 45 years. The Israel-Palestinian issue should become a peripheral aspect of foreign policy, with involvement limited to a constructive role within international organizations and adherence to UN resolutions.

Identity

Identity should never fall under government jurisdiction. Each soul holds the sacred right to self-definition. Let the national identity flourish through the vibrant discourse of civil society, unfettered by governmental dictates.

Tradition

We respect tradition and value its place in our society. We embrace our history and identity with high esteem and confidence, approaching it without demonizing or glorifying any part of it through ideological lenses. While we strive to understand tradition and seek solutions that align with it, we remain steadfast in our commitment to building a society based on fundamental rights. Therefore, we explicitly reject any elements or interpretations of tradition that contradict democratic values and human rights.

Wealth

Wealth and power largely stem from talent, intelligence and inherited capital and status—qualities and advantages that are often unearned. Therefore, we envision a society that is humble toward the underprivileged and values hard work, innovation, and earned wealth. This is a society that celebrates those who create wealth with integrity, rather than simply favoring those who happen to be rich. We advocate for a society where the wealthy voluntarily and meaningfully use their resources to promote equal opportunity and dignified living. "A man dying rich is a man dying in disgrace.”

Economy

We support free markets, balanced government budgets, and a straightforward tax system with low rates. However, we believe that both society as a whole and the government must remain attentive to the common good and fairness as a principal value. We support providing safety nets for health care and absolute poverty. We are also confident that Iranian society, when freed from tyranny, has the resources to ensure equality in education, legal representation, and political campaign financing.

Culture

We advocate for a society that is not captivated by luxury, consumerism or status symbols. Instead, We champion a generation whose contentment is rooted in integrity, hard work, purpose, and a deep commitment to meaningful creation.

Education

We believe education should be free from government regulation, overseen instead by independent professional organizations. To safeguard children’s fundamental right of self-determination, we advocate for an education system free from bias toward any ideology, unscientific agenda or non-inclusive narrative. Such a system should guarantee equal opportunities for life and work of students across all regions of Iran and in any position, by ensuring mastery of the country’s official language.

Founding Principles

Our proposed fundamental rights are a reflection of our values, rooted in our bedrock principles of reason and morality.

Religion

While we honor the freedom of religious belief and practice, we advocate for secular democracy. We firmly oppose the exploitation of Islam by the self-proclaimed Islamic Republic as a means of retaining power.

Objective

Our objective is clear: to conduct a referendum on Iran’s constitution, handing the reins to the people to shape the state they yearn for.

Justice

Our objective is clear: to conduct a referendum on Iran’s constitution, handing the reins to the people to shape the state they yearn for.

Vision

We advocate for constitutionalism where the rule of the majority stands, provided it upholds the sanctity of fundamental rights and liberties. Our vision aligns with a government that is truly ‘of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Civil Responsibility

The reform movement in Iran met an impasse. We now stand resolute in the framework of civil resistance. Our call is for all, especially the elite, to boldly confront corruption, discrimination, and violations of fundamental rights.

Inclusivity

Inclusivity is our guiding principle. The envisioned Contract for Iran must not emerge as a product of societal division but rather as a bargained expression of our collective aspirations.

Identity

Identity should never fall under government jurisdiction. Each soul holds the sacred right to self-definition. Let the national identity flourish through the vibrant discourse of civil society, unfettered by governmental dictates.

The battles you avoid today will force your children to fight. The oppression you concede to now, will soon unleash its fury upon your very loved ones. The darkness you tolerate under this regime, disguising inaction as discretion, will ultimately stifle and crush those you hold most dear. Everything is at stake. Call upon your reason, stand firm, and resist!

The 7 Fundamental Rights

The 7 Fundamental Rights are the cornerstone of our vision for a free and just society in Iran. These principles guide our efforts to dismantle the Islamic Republic and chart the path forward. This bill of rights outlines the key principles needed to build a strong civil society and guarantee liberty for each and every citizen and resident of Iran.

Every resident and citizen of Iran has the right to honest, clear, and good-faith conduct from others. Commitments and representations that reasonably create reliance must not be made in a misleading or non-transparent manner and shall not be altered or withdrawn without consent.
